a worldwide leader in innovative lottery technology and security
Scientific Games International, Inc. (SGI) is a subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation, a publicly held (Nasdaq: SGMS), multinational corporation dedicated to serving the lottery, horseracing, and telecommunications industries throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Pacific Rim and Africa.

The combined resources of all Scientific Games companies provide lottery customers with a much broader and deeper range of products, technologies and capabilities. SGI features world-class brands, expertise, tools and creative resources and has access to new products, technologies and capabilities to develop, deliver and enhance the products and services that lotteries will demand in the new millennium.

SGI is now the only fully integrated lottery service supplier in the world that provides instant tickets, on-line and instant ticket validation systems and Cooperative Services to help lotteries increase their retail sales and reduce operating costs.

The following aggregate snapshot of the first nine months of 2002 illustrates the diversity of SGI's products and services. It also speaks to SGI's superior customer service, as well as its ability to aggressively secure new lottery business and retain existing customers.
  • SGI plays an integral role in the instant (January 7) and on-line (March 7) startup of the new South Carolina Education Lottery.
  • SGI and BellSouth provide a Virtual Private Network (VPN) telecommunications transport solution linking South Carolina Education Lottery retailer terminals to the lottery's central system. This cutting-edge solution represents a first for the lottery industry.
  • SGI receives a three-year contract extension from the Pennsylvania Lottery. The renewal means SGI will continue to provide instant tickets, and a host of value-added services, including marketing, warehousing and distribution.
  • SGI is named primary supplier of instant tickets by the Kentucky Lottery Corporation. The KLC has been an SGI customer since its inception in April 1989.
  • SGI finalizes contract with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLGC) to manufacture and deliver 8,518 state-of-the-art Extrema-M on-line terminals, related software and terminal repair services.
  • SGI receives a contract extension through 2008 from the Florida Lottery for Cooperative Services (warehousing, distribution, telemarketing and field sales and merchandising support) and Instant Tickets.
  • SGI receives a three-year extension on its instant ticket and Cooperative Services contract from the Delaware Lottery. The extension requires SGI to provide, in addition to tickets, a full back office and instant validation system, warehousing and distribution.
  • SGI receives a new two-year instant ticket contract from the Connecticut Lottery Corporation, with three one-year options to renew.
  • SGI earns a one-year extension on its instant ticket contract from the Massachusetts Lottery, the perennial world leader in instant game per capita sales.
  • SGI is awarded a contract to supply instant tickets and is named the exclusive provider of Cooperative Services to the Arizona Lottery. The CSP contract calls for SGI to provide ticket warehousing, distribution, telemarketing, product management and our Games Management System with interfaces to lottery and on-line vendor systems.
  • Scientific Games Latino America, or SGLA, is chosen to supply instant ticket games to three Latin American customers: Loteria Nacional de El Salvador; Loteria Nacional de Nicaragua and a private foundation in Mexico, Vamos Mexico.
  • SGI is named the apparent winner of the contract to provide on-line lottery services to the Colorado Lottery. The initial six-year contract contains options for four additional one-year extensions.
  • SGI is awarded a new seven-year contract to provide instant tickets and Cooperative Services (game design, distribution, marketing and back office functions) to the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
