A little bit of history

Autotote Enterprises, Inc., a subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation, owns and operates the Off-Track Betting system in Connecticut.  This includes phone account wagering, six branches, four RaceView Centers, and two premier simulcasting facilities, the Bradley Teletheater and Sports Haven.

Autotote offers one of the most extensive wagering menus in the country.  Fans can wager on thoroughbred, harness, greyhound and jai-alai action from the best tracks and frontons in the country. 

Purchased from the state for $20 million in 1993, Autotote has seen total handle increase 60 percent to just over $220 million.

Improved and enhanced facilities equipped with the latest technology, aggressive marketing and player friendly employees have all contributed to the unprecedented growth of Autotote’s Off-Track Betting System.

Positions available may include:

Branch/RaceView Center Manager.  This position is responsible for the total operation of the facility including personnel issues, security and accountability of cash transactions.

Maintenance Personnel.  This position is responsible for providing a clean and safe environment for patrons and employees.  

Parimutuel Teller.  This position is responsible for the selling and cashing of parimutuel tickets and vouchers in an efficient and customer friendly manner.

Security Officers.  This position is responsible for providing a safe environment for patrons and employees. 

Telephone Betting Operator.  This position is responsible for placing wagers into a computerized wagering system through telephone communications with account holders. 

Important Information

All positions listed in this brochure have minimum experience requirements.  Any job offer that is made for employment is contingent upon verification of references, employment history and upon the approval of an application for an occupational license by the State of Connecticut Division of Special Revenue.   This application is separate from the employment application and is completed after an offer for employment is made.  This application process includes a complete background check by the Connecticut State Police. A driving record verification will be conducted by a third party as a condition of employment.
