The
Contest
1)
The tournament will be a live money contest. $50 of the $300
entry fee will be used by the players to place wagers. Players will be
required to wager $20 on each contest day. The remaining $10 may be
wagered at any time during the two day contest as long as the wagers are
for a minimum $2. Contestants will use an account card to place wagers.
2)
Entrants keep all pari-mutuel winnings.
3)
Entrants must make wagers that total at least $2 on a minimum of
10 races each contest day. In other words, people must wager at least
$20 each day (10 races for a minimum $2). The remaining $10 may be
wagered at any time over the two day period as long as the minimum wager
on the race is at least $2. (You could bet $ 1 to win and $1 to place.
This constitutes $2 wagered on a race). The wagers may be win, place or
show only.
4)
Contestants may only wager on one horse in each race.
5)
A contestant may play as many races as he would like on
each contest day for any amount as long as it’s for at least $2 a
race. The wagers may only be win, place or show. The only requirement is
that a contestant plays TEN races for at least $2 a race. If a player
does not wager on at least ten races, then $2 would be subtracted from
his total for the number of un-played races. For example, if seven races
were played, leaving three un-played races, then a total of $6 would be
subtracted from the player’s total ($2 per race).
6)
There is no cap on win, place or show prices.
7)
Contestants who make any type of wager other than win, place or
show will be disqualified from the contest. Adding additional cash to a
bankroll will also result in a disqualification.
8)
Contestants may wager on the following tracks:
Aqueduct, Gulfstream Park, Tampa Bay, Fairgrounds
and the first seven races from Santa
Anita. A player who wagers on a non-contest track will have
all his contest money negated on the day in which the infraction
occurred.
9)
The winner of the contest is the person who has the highest total
in his account after two days.
10)
Patrons must place all wagers in person. No intermediaries or
agents may place wagers. All entrants must be present to participate in
the contest at Sports Haven. There will be no refunds. There will also
be no refunds in the event that a contestant is disqualified.
11)
All tournament wagers must be made on self-service terminals or
Tiny Tims using a tournament plastic account card and pin number.
12)
No cancellations on any wagers for any reason after post time. In
the event of a late scratch, the rules of the host track will prevail.
13)
Since this is a live- money/ live results contest, anyone
withdrawing money from their account before the contest is official,
will no longer be considered an entrant in the contest.
14)
All official track rulings will apply to horses and wagering
pools.
15)
Autotote is not responsible for shut outs or incomplete
transactions. No exceptions under any circumstances.
16) Autotote is not
responsible for lost or mutilated account cards
17) The

accepting a prize, each winner releases and agrees to hold harmless

Handicapping Challenge will qualify for the Daily Racing Form/ National
Thoroughbred Racing Association tournament to be held January 2009 in
Las Vegas.
In the event that there is a tie for third place
there will be a one- race playoff. The person who wins the playoff will
qualify for the NTRA tournament. The playoff will not affect the prize
money distribution.
A play-off race will be determined. Each person
will make a $2 win, place or show bet on a designated race. The person
who earns the most money in the race qualifies for the NTRA contest. In
the event that there is a tie after the race, then another race will be
selected and each player will make a $2 wager. This will continue until
there is a winner.
The above rules will apply if there is a tie for
fifth place. The winner of the play-off will earn a spot in the
Coast Casinos Horseplayer
World Series at the Orleans .
