Second and Third place qualify win entry into Bradley Teletheater Handicapping Challenge.

Contest Date: Saturday, May 12, 2007


1)   Contestants must purchase $20 wagering card to participate. (Contestants are limited to two entries)     

2)   People may play at any Connecticut Autotote location and On the Wire phone wagering.

3)   The contest is Saturday, May 12, 2007.

4)   The winner of the contest wins a free entry into the Coast Casinos Horseplayer World Series contest at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas, January 2008.  Prize includes tournament entry, airfare and hotel accommodations.  Second place finisher will receive a free entry into the Bradley Teletheater Handicapping Challenge, July 14-15, and 25,000 Trophy Club Points and the third place finisher wins an entry into the Bradley Teletheater Handicapping Challenge and will receive 12,500 Trophy Club points.  Winners must take prize, no cash equivalent will be offered.

 

The Contest

1)   The contest is a live money event.  In order to participate, contestants must purchase a $20 account card. Contestants will use the card to place wagers.

2)   Entrants keep all pari-mutuel winnings.

3)   Win, place and show wagering only.

4)   Contest tracks are Palm Beach Greyhound Park (Matinee), Belmont Park and Monmouth.

5)   Entrants must wager on a minimum of five races from Palm Beach, Matinee card, for a minimum of $2 and they must wager on at least five races for a minimum of $2 on either Belmont or Monmouth.  A total of at least ten races (5 from Palm Beach and 5 from either Belmont or Monmouth). The wagers may be win, place or show.  Contestants may make more than the required ten wagers for any amount, but they must meet the contest qualification of having wagered on five races from Palm Beach and five races from either Belmont and Monmouth for at least $2 per race.  

6)   Contestants may only wager on one horse or greyhound in each race.  

7)   There is no cap on the win, place and show pay-offs.   

8)   Contestants who make any type of wager other than win, place or show will be disqualified from the contest. Adding additional cash to a bankroll will also result in a disqualification.  

9)   The winner of the contest is the person who has the highest total in his account. In the event of a tie, the person who has won the most money on the Palm Beach races wins the contest. If there is still a tie there will be a coin flip to determine the winner.

10)  Patrons must place all wagers in person.  No intermediaries or agents may place wagers. There will be no refunds. There will also be no refunds in the event that a contestant is disqualified.  

11)  All tournament wagers must be made on self-service terminals or Tiny Tims using a tournament plastic account card and pin number or through the On The Wire phone wagering service.

12)  No cancellations on any wagers for any reason after post time. In the event of a late scratch, the rules of the host track will prevail.

13)  Since this is a live money/ live results contest, anyone withdrawing money from their account before the contest is official, will no longer be considered an entrant in the contest.

14)  All official track rulings will apply to horses and wagering pools.

15)  Autotote is not responsible for shut outs or incomplete transactions. No exceptions under any circumstances.

16)   Autotote is not responsible for lost or mutilated account cards.

17)   The decision of the judges in all matters related to the contest is final.

18)  All contestants must be at least 21 years of age.

19)  Winners are subject to all state and federal tax requirements.

20)  The receipt of a registration form signifies the entrant’s acceptance of all rules and conditions stated herein. An entry constitutes acceptance of and responsibility for adherence to all rules and conditions of the contest as stated in the complete rules.

21) By accepting a prize, each winner releases and agrees to hold harmless Sponsor, Palm Beach Kennel Club and Autotote Enterprises, and their parent and their affiliated and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective trustees, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents of each of them from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any contest related activity or participation in this contest.  

22) Where permitted, the winner agrees to permit Palm Beach Kennel Club and Autotote and their parent and affiliated and subsidiary companies and those acting pursuant to the direction  or control of either of them, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including to but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times, the winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information as news or information and for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consideration, compensation, authorization and remuneration; and further without such additional compensation, appear for, or provide biographical information for use in, any presentation or other activity which may include filming/ audio/ video/electronic or other recordings and / or interviews, as may be determined from time to time by Autotote.

23)  Officers and employees of Autotote and their immediate families, and employees of the Department of Special Revenue, State of Connecticut, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter the contest.

24)  The right is reserved to terminate, withdraw or modify this contest at any time without prior notice. In this event, all contest fees will be refunded.
